Habla Español en Latinoamérica

ACIS offers 7 programs in 6 different Latin America countries that combine a week-long homestay with Spanish classes at an accredited language school.

Each trip includes:

• Weeklong stay with host family
• All meals
• Spanish classes in 1-on-1 or small-group settings (most have 6 or fewer students)
• University-educated instructors, experienced in teaching Spanish as a second language (SSL)
• At least three afternoon excursions or activities* led by the SSL teacher or a local guide
• Round-trip airport transfers

*Most excursions and highlights are pre selected for the group.

At Home in Spain

Soak in the Spanish sun and language on our 12-day Salamanca Homestay tour. After arriving in Madrid and discovering many of the city's attractions, including masterpieces in the Prado, continue west to Salamanca and move in with a host family. While in Salamanca you will participate in five daily language classes at the University of Salamanca or Colegio de España, depending on the age of the students. This program combines the structured learning of a language school with enough time to explore two of Spain's most fascinating cities.

¡Bienvenidos a España! when you arrive in Madrid on this 10-day Homestay in Spain tour. Immerse yourself in Madrid's rich cultural heritage before traveling to Granada where you'll unlock the secrets of Granada's myriad cultural influences, unique monuments, streets and neighborhoods. Your journey ends in sunny Costa del Sol.

Explore France

From Paris to the Cote d'Azur, discover the sights of France on this 9-day Homestay in France tour. Begin your journey in the City of Light before taking the TGV train to Grenoble where you'll meet your homestay family. Practice your French, indulge in the local cuisine and enjoy an excursion to St. Pierre de Chartreuse, a historic ski resort and village. Your tour ends in Cote d'Azur with warm temperatures and stunning views.
 

Homestay in Germany

Spend 10 days traveling across this historic country on the Homestay in Germany tour. Say hello to the picturesque town of Rothenburg before heading north to meet your homestay family in Erfurt. Participate in a cultural exchange with local high school students and learn more about the region's cultural heritage. Bid farewell to Erfurt and your host family before driving south towards Munich where you'll spend two full days before heading back to the US. 

Discover China

Life in China
On this 10-day tour, students will immerse themselves in the Chinese culture and tour the fascinating cities of Shanghai, Hangzhou and Beijing. While in Hangzhou, students will stay with a local host family and participate in language study and cultural exchange at a local school. Then, in Beijing, students will volunteer at the Guang Ai School, a haven for orphaned and homeless children.

Chinese Language Exploration
Spend 15 days exploring and discovering China, it's culture, people and language. This tour includes 7 days of Chinese language study at the renowned School of International Cultural Exchange in Beijing. In addition, students will travel to Xi'an and Shanghai and participate in such activities as a meal with a local family, walking the Great Wall and touring the Terra Cotta Warriors.
