Day 1: Thursday, January 11
Departure from the US for an overnight flight to Florence.

Day 2: Friday, January 12
Welcome to Florence known as the “Cradle of the Renaissance” for its role as the center of learning, art and science. Please note that transfer to your hotel is not provided. Upon hotel arrival ACIS staff members will be there to greet you at our hospitality desk and give you some insider tips. You’ll have time to explore along the banks of the Arno or sample gelato at the famous Vivoli gelateria. This evening, join ACIS for a cocktail Welcome Reception to get to know ACIS Staff and your fellow travelers. (D)

Day 3: Saturday, January 13
During today's sightseeing tour a local guide provides commentary via personal headsets while showing you Brunelleschi’s splendid Duomo, Ghiberti's famous Baptistry Doors, Santa Croce (where many illustrious Italians, including Michelangelo and Galileo, have been buried) and the Piazza della Signoria—the political center of the Renaissance city. Also, breeze by the crowds with your own timed entrance to the Accademia, which houses Michelangelo's David. Dinner tonight will be on your own to find a hidden spot to your liking. (B)

Day 4: Sunday, January 14
This morning, join ACIS for a walking tour of some hidden gems of Florence. This afternoon is free to visit a museum or do some shopping. Tonight meet in the hotel lobby for transfer to the ACIS Gala Evening to say good bye to Florence and new found friends. (B,D)

Day 5: Monday, January 15
Departure to the US. Please note, transfer from the hotel to the airport is not included.
