January 11-15, 2018

Day 1: Thursday, January 11
Departure from the US for an overnight flight to London.

Day 2: Friday, January 12
Arrival in London. Transfer under own arrangements to your hotel accommodations. You may begin to explore some of the unique neighborhoods that make this capital city thrive. Perhaps find your inner fashionista on Oxford Street, stroll the artsy South Bank or dive right in to the culture and museums of South Kensington. Tonight please join ACIS for a special family friendly pub dinner. (D)

Day 3: Saturday, January 13
Start today’s sightseeing with the highlight of the Tower of London by witnessing the opening ceremony, getting there early before the crowds arrive to catch it with our famously boisterous Beefeater guide. Since its construction, the castle has been used as a treasury, palace and prison—today it houses 1,000 years of Royal history and the Crown Jewels. Then continue on your sightseeing by learning about London's majestic past and fast-paced present on your guided panoramic bus tour to busy Trafalgar Square, the Houses of Parliament, and Whitehall. Along the way, our guide will point out more modern landmarks like the Gherkin, the Shard, and the Cheese Grater—all new buildings changing the London skyline. This afternoon and evening will be on our own to discover London. (B)

Day 4: Sunday, January 14
This morning is yours to wander Covent Garden or go to the King’s Cross Station to find Platform 9 ¾ and catch any students headed off to Hogwarts. This afternoon, enjoy a Musical Matinee in London’s Theatre district before a Farewell Dinner to say goodbye to London. (B, D)

Day 5: Monday, January 15
Transfer under own arrangements to the airport for your return flights to the United States. (B)
