Position Summary
Under general supervision of the Boston Sales Director performs a variety of complex, responsible, administrative, sales research and telemarketing duties requiring a thorough knowledge of Europe and/or Latin America. This position requires the ability to work independently and with a team while exercising judgment and initiative.
Responsibilities
- Sales through an out-going calling campaign to specific calling list in an effort to sell student educational travel programs.
- Build relationships with clients through regular contact and providing necessary materials and information. Maintain group from setting up a tour, to managing their account, to pre and post departure check-ins.
- Independently respond to letters and general correspondence of a routine nature; respond to complaints and requests for information.
- Participate in the development and implementation of new programs and procedures, especially in your regional area of expertise.
- Resolve client grievances or submit unsettled grievances to next in chain of command for action.
Qualifications
- BS/BA Degree
- Intimate knowledge of product area (Either: lived, studied or traveled extensively to Europe and/or Latin America)
- Knowledge of language (other than English preferably Spanish or French)
- Computer literate
- Previous Sales/Telemarketing experience.
- Must possess good communication skills.
- Must be detail oriented.
