JOB DESCRIPTION
Work within a small IT team web-enabling internal business processes and enhancing corporate websites. Collaborate with other web developers, Oracle developers, system administrator, marketing staff, and business team in the development and support of web applications. This includes designing and implementing new web applications; integrating sites with a custom CRM application; and performing day-to-day administration of the organizations web portfolio.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop QA test, debug, and document web applications built using ColdFusion (CFML), Oracle SQL, JavaScript, HTML, XHTML, and CSS.
- Maintain legacy ASP web applications.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with existing web applications and sites.
- Work with Oracle developers to enable web interaction with custom CRM database.
- Ensure security of all web sites and related applications.
- Perform periodic web site audits.
- May perform analytical work; identifying, recommending, and prioritizing new web features and applications under guidance of department manager.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 2 - 3 years of relevant work experience.
- In-depth knowledge of CFML or other languages such as ASP or PHP and willingness to learn CFML.
- Experience working with CFCs and custom CF tags or equivalent concept and technology in other languages.
- Experience working with JavaScript, HTML, XHTML, CSS, SQL, and DreamWeaver 8.
- Experience building database driven corporate websites from wireframes and graphic designs.
- Experience with ASP programming, web design, Ajax, Photoshop CS3 is a bonus.
- Experience calling Oracle stored procedures from CFML is a great plus.
- Experience analyzing and transforming high level business requirements into functional code.
- Understanding of Object-oriented programming.
- Understanding of application development methodologies, such as application prototyping, various agile methodologies, and project management processes.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to collaborate with team members, placing the organization’s project goals first.
- Ability to work independently when needed.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure and volatile project environment.
- Ability to adapt to and learn new technologies and programming languages quickly.
- Highly self motivated and directed with a keen attention to detail.
